Our Story
Meridex was founded in Vancouver in 2018 by professionals who had spent years observing a common pattern in the consulting industry. Too often, external advisors would arrive with predetermined frameworks, impose solutions that didn't quite fit the organizational context, and leave before the real work of implementation began. We believed there had to be a better approach.
The name Meridex comes from the idea of providing navigational reference points. Just as meridian lines help sailors find their position and chart their course, we aim to help organizations understand where they are and identify productive directions forward. We don't claim to have all the answers, but we're skilled at asking questions that surface insights and creating space for thoughtful consideration of options.
Over the past eight years, we've worked with organizations ranging from established professional services firms to growing technology companies, from healthcare providers to educational institutions. Each engagement has deepened our understanding of how businesses evolve and what actually helps when organizations face challenges.
We remain intentionally small, choosing to work with a limited number of clients so each engagement receives the attention it deserves. Our team brings diverse backgrounds in operations, strategy, organizational development, and change management, combined with genuine curiosity about how different organizations function.

Our team maintains active engagement with professional development, attending conferences, participating in peer learning groups, and staying current with evolving practices in organizational consulting.
Ethical Guidelines
We adhere to ethical standards established by professional consulting associations, including transparency about our capabilities, appropriate boundaries in client relationships, and honest assessment of whether we're suited to particular challenges.
Quality Assurance
Each engagement undergoes internal review to ensure deliverables meet our standards. We seek client feedback throughout the process and conduct post-engagement reviews to identify opportunities for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance
We maintain appropriate business licenses, professional liability insurance, and compliance with Canadian privacy legislation including PIPEDA for handling personal information.
Clear Communication
We prioritize transparent communication about scope, timelines, costs, and potential challenges. Regular check-ins ensure alignment and provide opportunity to adjust approach as understanding deepens.
Our Values
Respect for Existing Knowledge
We begin each engagement with the assumption that organizations already possess significant knowledge about their situation. Our role is to help surface and organize that knowledge, not replace it with external expertise.
Collaborative Discovery
The most valuable insights emerge through conversation and collective exploration rather than expert pronouncements. We structure engagements to maximize dialogue and ensure multiple perspectives inform recommendations.
Practical Application
Recommendations must be implementable within the organization's actual constraints, not idealized versions of those constraints. We focus on approaches that can realistically be put into practice given available resources and competing priorities.
Honest Assessment
Sometimes the most helpful thing we can do is acknowledge when we're not the right fit for a particular challenge or when external consulting may not be what's needed. We're comfortable having those conversations early.
